I’ve actually given this little recipe out quite a lot this winter, and just did so recently on Twitter, so thought I would post it here so it’s google-able (is that a word?)
It’s easy to make, doesn’t usually require anything that you won’t have on hand and tastes good too!
Hot Lemon and Honey:
3 slices lemon
2 thin slices fresh ginger
1 tsp honey (or to taste, but don’t put tons in)
Pop the lemon, ginger and honey in a large mug, then pour over boiling water. Bash (or muddle) the lemon and ginger slices with a spoon, but leave them in the cup to release as much flavour and juice/essential oils as possible. Sip slowly while still hot. You can also add a teabag if you prefer. You can leave out the ginger if you don’t like that flavour or don’t have any on hand.
